A Palace in Second Life for Environmental Consciousness-3rd draft

A Palace in Second Life for Environmental Consciousness
Green Expo gives off sound for the earth

Can you imagine how devastating and influential a bottle of coke could be? Most of people are ignorant of the increasing consumption of fossil fuels, the threatening situation of rare animals, the destruction of the earth’s atmosphere, and so on. Green Expo is an environmental exposition in virtual reality which safeguards the earth. It is like a palace which provides users with an educational and knowledgeable access to understand the urgent predicament of the earth. Visiting the palace, you’ll have a clear sight of the worsening phenomenon that the earth is suffering from! (http://slurl.com/secondlife/OneClimate/119/117/600)

Green Expo is held by a prominent non-profit organization, OneClimate(http://www.oneclimate.net/), which aims at dealing with climate change. Displaying various analyses of environmental protection on OneClimate Island (http://slurl.com/secondlife/OneClimate/37/199/22), Green Expo is one of the great achievements which environmentalists have created. The exposition was forged during the 350.org Day of Climate Action (http://www.350.org/), an international campaign that's building a movement to unite the world around solutions to the climate crisis.

The purpose
of the exposition is for boosting eco-friendliness. There are over 25 uniquely crafted exhibition booths from a huge variety of people and organizations, including different environmental issues such as soils, energy, sea, the atmosphere, and the welfare of human beings and animals. In addition, each booth offers the link of its official website. So if viewers are eager to learn more information about the organization or the research, they can click on the poster and browse the page.

One of the booths in Green Expo promoted the idea of how Coca-Cola becomes a murderer. The booth is demonstrated by Killer Coke which reveals the truth that coca-cola has drowned not only the environment but human rights in some developing countries such as India and Cambodia. The poster also connects with the website of Killer Coke (http://www.killercoke.org/index.htm), an organization aiming at holding campaigns to stop killer Coke.

Green Expo is a platform where each organization spreads out and shares its discovery of the world with second life players. Next time when you are bored with shopping, dancing, and chatting in second life, a visit to Green Expo will definitely refresh your standpoints about the earth and broaden your horizons.
